Closing the Curtain
Welcome back guys, I finally finished the project. For the most part, it was simple because all I had to do was put everything together and add the transitions and the audio. Before putting everything all together, I organized everything into specific files so that everything was easy to find and pull out. But I lost one of the pieces, I spent like an hour looking for it. Turns out it was in a different folder because I didn't save it correctly. First, I pieced each scene chronologically, on CapCut, and added anything extra I was going to add. I watched it all together before doing anything, to make sure it looked good before proceeding. It looked good, so I decided to work on the transitions. I wanted a combination of smooth and seamless transitions, and for some of the transitions to have some sort of dynamic energy. For most of the transitions, I choose to use jump cuts and fades. But, as the video unfolded, I continued to experiment with various transition techniques to suggest different moods. Most of the time, I used jump cuts to punctuate the quickness, like when Michael woke up from the call. Other times, I used fades to show the subtleness, like when Michael when dreaming. Once I finished with the transitions, I added my audio “See You Again- Tyler, the Creator, and Kali Uchis. I already cropped and fixed it, so I just had to add it. I made it so that the audio faded in and out at the beginning and end of the video. I also adjusted the timing, ensuring that each scene flowed naturally with the music. As I watched the final product, I liked it and felt somewhat proud. I really liked this project, it was fun, but I’m glad it’s over. It took a long time. Anyway, I asked people for feedback and changed anything they said. Stay tuned for my next blog. Trust me; you won't want to miss it.
