Editing Since Have Nothing Else to Do

Image
Welcome back guys, given that I'm planning to film the majority of it over the weekend. I made the decision to edit some of the scenes I currently have. Because CapCut is free and simple to use, I'm going to use it to make my project and handle all of the edits. I will concentrate my attention to scenes 6, 7, and 8. As I don't have extra time to do more. But I'll finish most of it after the weekend. Also, I've edited with CapCut before because I used it on my last two projects. In order to make the images and video easier to find, I carefully organized them into a folder. To ensure that the images blended together flawlessly and looked good throughout the entire video, I used CapCut to change the color, saturation, contrast, and brightness of each component. This allowed me to choose the tone and mood of the work; the colder tones suggested reflection and mystery. I cropped the videos and photos to the same size in order to maintain the project's size. I also cu

Lights, Camera, Action

Welcome back guys, I was backed up, with a lot of homework and I had to study for a test. So, I only filmed two scenes. Scenes 22, and 23, the ones about the man in the dark taking a syringe. For this one setting up the light was difficult, because I couldn’t let to much light in or let it be too dark. Like it my last project, it was too dark, and the scenes looked bad . So, I experimented with the door, and some lights. I turned my bathroom light on and slightly left the door open. Also, I turned on this mini light that I have in the background. But, it was too bright so I turned it down a level. After doing some random films, the lights looked good for filming. I set up the room, and I got out my props. And I put on the cloak, and black mask so that I looked more mysterious. For scene 22, place the camera to the side of me. I filmed myself grabbing the syringe. Also I zoomed in the syringe as I moved it around. For scene 23, the camera was in the same position, but you couldn’t see m

Extra! Extra! Film All About It

Welcome back guys, last time I made some changes to my script. And I plan out the other parts. I talked to my friend, and we plan to meet up, sometime next week during the weekend. There might be some changes and I have some things to figure out both for the most part everything is planned out. Today, I was able to film a part of my project. I filmed scenes 19, 20, and 21, where the Detective is reading a newspaper, and gets a phone call. So, I had to set up the room to that it looked mysterious and added to extra props. I got my hat, suit, and newspaper. Set up the camera and started to film. Also, I had natural light coming in, for a lighter space. For scene 19, I filmed it in two parts. First, I had the camera to the side of me, filming as I was pretending to read newspaper. Then, I zoomed into the newspaper. Also, I filmed a separate piece of just the newspaper paper. This is where one of the titles will go. For scene 20, the camera is in the same place, I looked over to the phone,

The End of Plans

Image
Welcome back guys, this should be the last of the planning. The props, costumes, and set are the topics for today. So, for the prop, I have I have mostly I just need to get the chemistry set and some other stuff. But if I'm not able to get these in time I'll just find some other will to make them. Or find a way to exclude them from the script. The costume is still the same it's just the hat, suit, cloak, mask and gloves. I haven’t thought of the costume for the victim, but it’s going to be something simple. I talked to my friend who also didn’t film her project, and we agreed that we could met up at a park to help each other. I might also ask some more of my friends and see what they say. So, currently the set is going to be the park, and the library. But we just said at a park or something. So, I would need to verify an exact location, and research the buildings around it. In terms of the equipment, I’ll have my phone, tripod, and a portable battery. For the cast it will b

Even More Planning

Welcome back guys, I feel a lot calmer, so hopefully I can do this. Last time I came up with the idea of making it so that the detective finds himself dead. And that he's investigating multiple cases. What I’m trying to do is to make the project more reliant on one person, so that it’s easier to for me to film. Here’s the updated script so far:   Scene 1: The moon casts a glow on multiple mysterious buildings where murders has taken place, as a narrator provides context. Scene 2: Inside the room in one of the buildings, the lifeless body is on the floor. Scene 3: Detective James walks into the scene Scene 4: He’s searching the room for clues. Scene 5: Detective James examines the body and discovers a needle wound. His eyes widen as he declares who the killer is. Scene 6: In the darkness, a shadowy figure is making a strange liquid. Scene 7: The liquid-making process. Scene 8: The shadowy figure holds vials of the lethal liquid. Scene 9: In the investigation room, Detective James is

Thinking of What Should of Been Thought

Welcome back guys, I am still panicking, after yesterday I was so tired to think of anything. So, I still don't have a plan and I still don't know what exactly to do. Instead, I’m going to list everything I have and all of the components of project and come up with some ideas with that. Later chose the best ideas and fix it so that it’s better. First the project is about a murder mystery with the twist. I have to film and edit 30 scenes in an appropriate time frame. For most of the project, I will basically be alone. So, I will have to do it all by myself, but I can ask some of my family members and friends for help. This is the part where I wished I worked in a group. But anyways I am going to be filming on my phone and use CapCut and some other sites to edit. I already have most of the props and costumes. In terms of props, I have newspapers, a fake gun, a magnifying glass, a notebook, a pen, and etc. And in terms of costumes, I have a cloak, mask, gloves, and a suit. I also

Tomorrow’s Issues

Welcome back guys, I am back from my trip, it was super fun and cold. I had a really great time and enjoyed my time staying there, same with the others. Also, there competition was okay, but I could do better. Well, here's the deal, I did not film really anything on the trip and I’m kinda panicking because I only have 3 scenes. And I basically just lost my set and my cast members, so I’m back to square zero. This reminds of my last project, where plan A didn’t work, and I wanted to run down the street waving my hands in the air. I had a plan and everything, and I put the equipment in the corner, so that I film but I just didn’t. We got back to the hotel on most days at 10pm, and I played around for the rest of the day. And on the last day I tried to film whatever I could, but it was too late, and I didn’t want to disturb anybody. So, for the whole trip, I didn’t film or really do anything other than the exploring pertaining to my project. Now, I have not set, cast, and I lost money

Behind the Scenes

Welcome back guys, I finally arrived at the hotel and I’m in Boston. It’s super cold and I had to wear so many layers, but I can’t wait to have fun. On this trip I’m going to be busy with the actual competition, whenever I’m free, I’ll try to film. But what I did do today was exploring the hotel. I was looking for spots to film, and do my project in. I narrowed it down to my hotel room, and empty room and outside of the hotel. I also recruited all of my cast members, but I had to convince them by getting them McDonald. And I left it at that. Over the next few days, I will be filming most of the scenes. According to my schedule, I broke it up among the days so day 1, will be scenes 1-5. On day 2 after I get back, I will film scenes 9-20. And on day 3 I will be filming the rest of the scenes. Also, I will be filming these during the late afternoon, so around nighttime. I organized my equipment in the concert of the room so that it wasn’t lost or anything. It also served as a reminder to

Takeoff and Take One

Welcome back guys, it’s been some time since I’ve last blogged. I’ve been busy with homework, test, school, and just life overall. But I was able to film a part of my project. It was scenes 6, 7, and 8, they were the scenes about the bad guy making his weapons, the syringes. So, beforehand I got the costumes, and props, the hat, magnifying glass, book, newspaper, and some more. I also got some chemistry equipment type props for the scenes, so I was already to go for filming. I set up the area, clean it, and place the props on top of the table, but I thought it was a bad idea, so I scraped it. I put on the costume, which was a black coat, with some black clothing. Also, I made it a little bit dark to add some obscurity to the scenes. Basically, for scene 6, I set the camera behind me, so that it could see me. For scene 7, I zoom in the equipment and followed it as the liquid went through the things. After I pulled out two syringes. For scene 8, I decided to just hand myself the other sy
