Reflecting

Welcome back guys, I made some changes after receiving a few suggestions from my friend. I chose to use both of the audio and changed some of the transitions. Anyway, I had a lot of fun working on this project and I would do it again if I could. Making a sort of ad out of several videos and pictures of me was a lot of fun. The process of finding old photos and videos of myself was amusing. I was able to learn some new skills, like how to use CapCut and other methods of photo and video editing. The process was made easier by the software, which was simple to use. Even though it took a while, I enjoyed listening to many types of music while deciding what kind of music I wanted for the commercial. I was able to create this project using lots of new tools. I used Lightroom to individually edit the photos and CapCut to edit and piece together the entire project. I recorded a portion of the commercial on my phone and improved it with some props. Being involved in this project taught me a lot, like more on editing and improving the looks of stuff. I now have a deeper understanding of the commitment required to complete a project like this. Procrastination was probably my biggest obstacle. If I hadn't put off doing this assignment, I could have finished it much sooner. Fortunately, I still completed it in time. Next time, I know for sure I will not be putting off working on a project. My worry that the project wouldn't turn out well was another problem I faced. I think that I allowed it to prevent me from finishing the project earlier, and this is probably the reason I changed my project so much. Although I'm pleased, I did because I prefer the finished version to my original version. Editing the pictures and videos was the most difficult part of the project. Editing every picture and video took about ten minutes, which got incredibly repetitious and annoying. I could improve on every aspect of my project. Like I said previously, I'm going to manage my time effectively to avoid procrastinating, and I'm going to have faith in my ideas. For the next project, I am going to create a detailed and thorough plan. I'm going to watch some more videos on how to use CapCut because I only watched the basic beginner ones. I will watch more videos and learn some new editing techniques to improve the looks of my pictures. I want to improve sound editing next time by adjusting the beats, tone, and fading so that it better fits the project, and transitions so that it flows smoothly. One major area where I could have done better was safety. For example, when I was filming the clip of me sleeping, even though I put something on the bottom to keep my phone from breaking if it fell. My phone was still a little bit above me, though, so it could have dropped and hit me. I'll be more careful the next time to avoid hurting myself. This project opened up a different understanding of how much effort and time goes into creating different forms of media. Previously, I was aware of the fact it was difficult, but I was unaware of how much work was involved, now I have more respect for those who create these things. Stay tuned for my next blog where I’ll unravel even more mysteries. Trust me; you won't want to miss it.
