Confessions of a Serial Plan B-er
Welcome back guys, I am a bit more calm, after thinking things through. Sadly, I didn’t film or edit over the weekend because I got sick, but I feel a lot better, so I must work extra hard this week. I thought through what I could possibly do, so here is plan B. I changed the script entirely; the storyline is different, but the scenes are somewhat similar. It’s going to follow the kidnapping of Emily, Michael’s friend, throughout the scenes Michael is going to be looking for clues about Emily’s whereabouts and thinking about the times they’ve spent together. Basically, it going to look this: Scene 1: It has been weeks since Emily vanished into obscurity. Michael, in the evening, places missing posters of her. Scene 2: Michael dives deep into blogs, obscure news articles, and the news, seeking any trace of Emily’s whereabouts. Scene 3: Michael feels uncertain as he makes calls, hoping for more information about Emily. He ends up disappointed. Scene 4: Waiting in silence for the phone to ring, Michael falls asleep. Scene 5: In his dreams, he thinks about all his memories with Emily. Scene 6: A call wakes him, he picks up, and it leads him to an abandoned warehouse. Scene 7: In the depths of the warehouse, Michael finds a mysterious torn piece of paper, written, "Don't come and find me - Emily." Scene 8: With his head bowed in silence, Michael carries the note. Scene 9: Looking over the note Michael unveils a cryptic code within the note about Emily’s location. Scene 10: Michael is listening to one of Emily’s voicemails she left before she went missing. Then it fades to the credit scene. I know this only has 10 scenes, but when it comes together it’s going to basically going to be 12 scenes. I really like the mystery theme of my new script because I love mysteries and it still applies to the song. For the set, it’s going to be somewhere on the street, my block, my bedroom, my house, an abandoned warehouse (I think I’m just going to film somewhere creepy on the street or store. Rather be safe than sorry.) For the props, I need to make and print out a missing poster, a magazine, my computer, my phone, a written note, and a pencil or pen. Since I am free on Tuesday, and the weekend, those will be the days I will shoot. Scenes 1 and 8 will be shot on my street/block. I am going to shoot this on Saturday. Scenes 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, and 10 will be shot in my bedroom/house. I am going to shoot this on Tuesday. For scene 5, luckily, I can use the footage I shot last time for it. Scene 7 will be shot at the “abandoned warehouse.” I am going to shoot this on Saturday. After all of the shooting, I am probably going to edit all of next week in the afternoon, starting next Monday. Stay tuned for my next blog where I’ll unravel even more mysteries about making a music video. Trust me; you won't want to miss it.
